Raymond Burr reprises his most famous role as crusading lawyer Perry Mason in the first in a series of television movies that finds Perry giving up his seat on the bench to defend his intrepid secretary, Della Street (Barbara Hale), when she is accused of murder. Perry hires Paul Drake Jr. (William Katt), the son of an old colleague, as his investigator and reveals the truth behind the slaying of Mr. Gordon, an entrepreneur with many enemies.[EDIT]
