Pedro is a drama that depicts the life of Pedro Zamora (Alex Loynaz), a participant on the third season of The Real World. While on the show, Pedro was not shy about discussing both his homosexuality and his positive HIV status, a first in the history of television. He viewed the reality show as a way for him to educate the world about AIDS. The film chronicles his early life in Havana and his experiences growing up in a family with eight children.
