Paranormal Activity is a 2007 supernatural horror film that became an instant box office success. The film follows a young couple, Katie and Micah, as they move into their new home. Little do they know, the new home in which they reside happens to be haunted by paranormal entities. What we soon find out is that Katie has been haunted all of her life and that the hauntings are no coincidence and no simple ghost. In fact, Katie is being haunted by an evil demon that has followed her into her new home. The film uses a documentary style technique to show the seat jumping and often highly convincing paranormal events.
