O'Shea, set in the Great Depression, is a rousing story and adaptation of the Book of Hosea from the bible. This animated film brings the story into present history and gives us insight into how God may test his followers. The Book of Hosea is the story of God telling his prophet to marry a prostitute, Gomer, to symbolize his unhappiness with Israel's departure from their beliefs and ultimately their sin of being unfaithful to God. It is difficult to understand the ways in which God affected the lives of his followers, with the restrictions of present day society to cloud our insight. In this film we follow O'Shea through his own journey to better understand his relationship with God and how to renew his faith no matter how difficult life is. With this journey comes self-realization and understanding about the kind of man O'Shea hopes to become and what to do to begin.MORE[EDIT]
