Older than America is a 2008 American film written and directed by Georgina Lightning and starring Sarah Agnew, Jeri Arredondo, and Noah Kol Balfour. The film's contemporary setting illustrates the lasting effects of the cultural genocide of many Native American populations throughout the country as they were eliminated and assimilated. When Rain has visions of the horrid experiences her ancestors went through, she fears that she will be thought a lunatic like her aunt and interred in a psychiatric institution. As the visions intensify, however, Rain decides that she must tell someone, for their connections to her present day life have become too intense.
