Nirvana: Teen Spirit: Interviews is a 2009 documentary that combines rare footage of the seminal rock band in performance with rare personal interviews with the iconic rock band. In 1991, the Seattle-based Nirvana brought the grunge sound to mainstream audience with their hit song "Smells Like Teen Spirit" from the "Nevermind" album. Lead singer Kurt Cobain, bassist Krist Novoselic and drummer Dave Grohl created the soundtrack for Generation X and led the way for an onslaught of alternative rock bands like Alice in Chains, Sound Garden and Pearl Jam. The worldwide attention clearly impacted the band personally and professionally. In interviews with MTV, BBC and other media outlets, Cobain tries to keep the focus on the music, but the questions often turn to his personal life. The film tracks the change in the musicians as they become celebrities. This full-length feature also gives Nirvana fans an opportunity to discuss the impact of the new sound on their lives.MORE[EDIT]
