Night of the Wilding is a 1990 made-for-television crime drama directed by Joseph Merhi. The film is loosely based on a crime that happened in the late 1980s in Central Park, where a woman was the victim of a violent rape during a gang's "wilding." Wilding is a terrible fad that became popular around that time where young gang members in inner cities would go on insane sprees of partying, violence, and destruction for days, affecting everyone and everything in their path.
