Night at the Museum is a 2006 fantasy adventure-comedy film based on Milan Trenc's 1993 children's book of the same name, directed by Shawn Levy and starring Benn Stiller, Carla Gugino, and Dick Van Dyke. Larry Daler (Ben Stiller) is a divorced father and business world failure who cannot hold down a stable job. His life isn't going anywhere fast and it starts looking like his own son, Nick (Jake Cherry), may be turning out to respect his future stepfather, Don (Paul Rudd), more than he does Larry.
