National Lampoon's Animal House is a film from 1978, directed by John Landis, about the college fraternity experience, starring Jim Belushi as John "Bluto" Blutarsky. The film also features Tom Hulce, Kevin Bacon, and Karen Allen early in their careers. Hulce appears as Lawrence ‘Pinto’ Kroger, a new student looking to join a fraternity with his friend Kent ‘Flounder’ Dorfman (Stephen Furst). While rejected from the first house they try, the approach the ill-reputed Delta Tai Chi house where Ken’t brother was a member. They are accepted as pledges, only to find that their new house is under fire from the Dean for numerous violations, and the administration is trying to remove the fraternity entirely.
