Muppet Treasure Island features the lovable Muppets: Kermit the Frog (Steve Whitmire), Miss Piggy (Frank Oz), Gonzo (Dave Goelz) and the rest of the characters we came to adore as children. This particular Muppet adventure is inspired by the classic tale of the same name by Robert Louis Stevenson. Jim Hawkins (Kevin Bishop) inherits a treasure map and then hires Captain Smollett (Kermit the Frog) to lead him on his treasure hunt. The devious Long John Silver (Tim Curry) is at the center of a plot to foil the treasure hunters at every turn. The crew encounters many dangerous obstacles, but they keep forging ahead with their quest. Will they spoil Long John Silver's evil plot and discover the treasure? Can they overcome the dangers of the high seas and the jungle? As always, the Muppets feature an excellent variety of musical pieces that enhance the mood and theme of the movie.MORE[EDIT]
