Morning Light is the documentary of 15 youths, aged 18-22, who are chosen and subsequently trained for the TRANSPAC ocean race. The 2,200-mile race starts in Los Angeles and ends in Hawaii, and pits man and his sailboat against the unforgiving Pacific Ocean. The kids were chosen for their abilities as sailors and trained by the best sailors in the world, so they could compete in this great adventure against well-funded and highly skilled professional sailors. Their dedication and teamwork are on full display as the sum of the parts becomes greater than whole as they race across the Pacific.
