Monroe: Class of 76

Monroe: Class of 76 is a British two-part television thriller about a string of mysterious deaths all connected to a group of schoolchildren from 1976. The story opens in 2005 with what looks like a suicide. Pat Fisher (Stephen Mapes) seems mentally disturbed, at least according to the eyewitnesses who saw him dodging traffic on a busy highway before a truck fatally hit him. However, Detective Inspector Tom Monroe (Robert Carlyle) discovers the dead man's tape recorder with a frightened, rambling message about a girl who died. The message could point to a conspiracy or a guilty conscience. Either way, Monroe knows he is not dealing with an ordinary suicide. Monroe searches Fisher's apartment and discovers a peculiar school photo of 33 children in a class of only 32. The unaccounted for child is blurred out and other faces are circled in red. When Monroe learns these other classmates have died suspiciously, he sets out to find the truth. MORE [EDIT]
