Moneyball is a 2011 sports drama directed by Bennett Miller. The film is based on the non-fictional book by Michael Lewis. Billy Beane (Brad Pitt) is the manager of the Oakland Athletics, a Major League baseball team. Billy used to be a Major League player himself and watched his career fizzle. This is his chance to lead a team to glory. However, the team has a meager payroll, and Billy despairs of recruiting the right players. Everything changes when Billy meets an unexpected ally: Peter Brand (Jonah Hill), an economics major fresh out of Yale. Peter shares his ideas about assessing the value of baseball players. He claims that Billy should consider players' on-base percentages instead of following traditional scouting methods. MORE [EDIT]
