Mojave Moon, directed by Kevin Dowling and written by Leonard Glasser, is a 1996 dark romantic comedy starring Angelina Jolie as a seductive hitchhiker. When car salesman Al McCord (Danny Aiello) meets the beautiful Ellie Rigby (Angelina Jolie) at a coffee shop, she convinces him to give her a ride into the Mojave Desert so she can visit her mother Julie (Anne Archer). Al falls in love with Julie, but a series of bizarre events - a flat tire, a dead body, and a shoot-out at a gas station - lead him to flee the desert and head back to civilization.
