Mixed Blood is a 1984 action drama directed by Paul Morrisey. The film is set in Manhattan's lower east side and focuses on a drug war between the Maceteros and the Master Dancers. The Maceteros are a group of underage Brazilian drug dealers who sell heroin and other drugs. The group is led by Rita La Punta (Marilia Pera) who demands all the boys in her group be under 18, so they cannot go to jail. She is devoted to her only son, Thiago (Richard Ulacia), but treats the other boys just as well. She not only regulates their drug dealing, she also makes sure they are hygienic and that their chores are done. The Master Dancers are an underage Latino gang that also specializes in heroin.
