Maz Jobrani: Brown and Friendly

Maz Jobrani: Brown and Friendly is the comedian's first feature stand-up comedy film, where Maz brings his Axis of Evil comedy sketches to the homes of interested viewers. The Iranian-American funnyman joins Comedy Central at the El Portal Theater in L.A. for a night of humor that focuses on Middle Eastern people and the way people see them in the world today. Maz takes on politics and religion telling audiences what life is like growing up in America and Iran. Maz explains that he blended in well in America, with nobody expecting he was an immigrant until his non-English speaking dad picked him up from school. He also explains that the difference between Iranians and Arabs is in what they wear under their robes. Viewers learn from Maz that Americans hate Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad because they can't pronounce his name. Subjects like homosexuality also appear in the film after the comedian informs viewers that the reason there are no gays in Iran is because they have one of the highest rates of sex change operations in the world.
