Marina Monster

Marina Monster is a 2007 independent horror film. Earl Molar (Trevor Crane) works for the Center for Inland Waters and discovers a puzzling depletion of fish in the local waters. His investigation leads to a deadly bull shark that is not native to the area. Earl discovers that the shark has actually been imported by a mysterious freighter. Earl and his girlfriend, Oceana (Michelle LaHaise), try to alert their parents of the danger. The upcoming "Around the Bay" annual yacht race is on the horizon, and their parents each own the competing sailing clubs. They disregard the warning as teenage hysteria and refuse to cancel the contest. Then Earl's father, Drip (Ray Kohler), admits to his son that he desperately needs the prize money or he will go bankrupt, especially with local reporter, Lola Dent (Ilene Elkaim), researching his questionable financial dealings. The yacht race stays on schedule, which forces Earl and Oceana to find a way to contend with the monster shark. Christine Whitlock writes and directs this adventure thriller. MORE [EDIT]
