Man of the East

Man of the East is a 1972 western comedy directed by Enzo Barboni. Sir Thomas Fitzpatrick Phillip Moore (Terence Hill) is a soft, cultured Englishman who much prefers libraries and salons to manual labor. When his father dies, Moore learns that he has inherited a large estate in California. Upon his arrival in America, he is greeted by three of his late father's best friends: rough and ready pioneers who want to turn him into a respectable man of action! Moore is initially horrified and resists their efforts. However, his attitude changes when he falls in love with Iris (Danika La Loggia), the beautiful and voluptuous daughter of a neighboring rancher. Now, Moore must learn to fight to defend himself and Iris from the dangerous Morton (Riccardo Pizzuti), a jealous bully who also fancies Iris. Learning to ride horses and shoot guns doesn't come naturally for a man who has grown up in drawing rooms and concert halls. Moore's comical first attempts at combat soon develop into serious skills.
