Lovely and Amazing is a 2001 drama-comedy about a woman and her three daughters as they all cope with their own insecurities and hang-ups on their quest to happiness. Jane Marks, played by Brenda Blethyn, worries about losing her figure as she gets older. She’s a wise woman but she can’t help dreaming of being young and thin. She has three daughters, two of which are well into adulthood, and one adopted African American pre-teen. Michelle Marks has a husband and family. Her dreams of finding a career as an artist have proved fruitless, and she’s recently taken a position developing photos for the sake of her family.
