Love Story is a 1970 romantic film considered by many to be one of the most romantic films of all time. Oliver Barrett IV (Ryan O'Neal) comes from a long line of rich Harvard graduates. He meets Jennifer Cavalleri (Ali MacGraw), a student of Radcliffe College of much humbler means. The two quickly fall in love and become inseparable. The two plan to marry, but Oliver's father does not approve. They go forward with the wedding anyway and Oliver is cut off from his family fortune. After struggling to make ends meet, Oliver graduates and gets a job at a law firm in New York. When trying to conceive a child, Oliver discovers that Jenny is sick and is not long for this world. Oliver borrows money from his estranged father to care for Jenny, but does not tell him what he is using it for. When Oliver's father figures it out it is too late, and the two reunite as Oliver tells him "love means never having to say you're sorry".MORE[EDIT]
