Lemony Snicket’s a Series of Unfortunate Events is a 2004 film based on the books ‘A Series of Unfortunate events: The Bad Beginning,’ ‘The Reptile Room,’ and ‘The Wide Window,’ about the Baudelaire orphans- Violet (Emily Browning), Klaus (Liam Aiken), Sunny (Kara and Shelby Hoffman), who are taken in by their uncle, Count Olaf (Jim Carrey). After a fire has destroyed their home and taken their parents’ lives, the three are sent to live with Olaf, who is only interested in the inheritance the children are set to receive when the eldest is of age.
