Laserblast is a 1978 science-fiction action movie directed by Michael Rae. In the film, Billy Duncan (Kim Milford) is an unhappy teenager who is having a rough time. His only salvation is his girlfriend, Kathy (Cheryl Smith). However, a simple trip to Kathy's house changes his life forever. During that trip, he is berated by Kathy's grandpa, Colonel Farley (Keenan Wynn), picked on by local bullies, Chuck Boran (Mike Bobenko) and Froggy (Eddie Deezen), and pulled over by the local police (Dennis Burkley, Barry Cutler). In order to gather his thoughts and collect himself, Billy drives in to the desert. At the desert, Billy makes an unusual discovery. Upon further exploration, Billy decides his new discovery may be beneficial to him, in regards to getting even with the people who have wronged him. However, Billy's apprehension of the desert object, does not go unnoticed and others are soon aware that Billy is in possession of the rare object.
