La Petite Lili, or Little Lili, is a 2003 French film directed by Claude Miller and starring Julien Boivent, based on the popular Anton Chekhov play The Seagull. When a group of film professionals spend a holiday in the French countryside, a young man and a local girl, Lili, become fast friends. She works their friendship so that she too may become part of the film world. She uses her relationship with the young man to swap him for his mother's lover. Lili and the lover go on a romantic trip to Paris. Years later, the young man is a filmmaker, and decides to make his first film about that particular weekend in the countryside. The young man then casts Lili, who is now an actress, in the lead role, making sure to remain faithful to MORE [EDIT]
