Kinky Boots is a 2005 comedy about an English shoemaker who makes the difficult decision to make fetish footwear in order to save his dying business. After inheriting a failing shoe business from his family, small-town boy Charlie Price (Joel Edgerton) decides to travel to London to try and figure out a way to save the business. Since much of the town depends on the shoe factory for work, Charlie is desperate to make it succeed. While in London, he meets a brash drag queen named Lola (Chiwetel Ejiofor) who suggests to Charlie that he begin selling shoes designed for female impersonators.
