King Corn is a 2007 documentary from director Aaron Wolfe. Ian Cheney and Curt Ellis trace their roots back to their ancestral home town in America's heartland, Greene, Iowa. They decide to farm an acre of corn which is a staple crop of American farmers. With help from neighboring farmers, historians and agronomists, the two college kids set about growing their crop using common genetically modified corn seeds. The two spend time comparing grass-fed cows of other areas to the cows who are fed a diet high in corn and make discoveries that, in their opinion, link obesity to high fructose corn syrup and other common ingredients that use corn products as a main ingredient.
