Killer: Dead or Alive

Killer: Dead or Alive is an action thriller that tracks the clandestine work of two mercenaries, Michael Black (Scott Shaw) and Raphael X (Kevin Thompson). Vividly filmed across the U.S. and Asia, the story begins in the jungles of central China with the two men saving a young woman (Dana Davidson) from the grasp of a monster. The three return to civilization quite shocked by what they have experienced, and in a nonsensical move, they decide to become hitmen. Bizarre plot twists are a natural by-product of what film director and star Scott Shaw refers to as "Zen Filmmaking." In this unusual method of production, everything is improvised. The focus is on freedom and allowing mistakes to become part of the film. Shaw tells the actors where he hopes the storyline will end up, and what kind of characters they should play, and then he says "go!" The result is a story that has never been told before.
