Karas: The Revelation is an animated dark fantasy action film directed by Keiichi Sato that takes place in an alternative Shinjuku, Tokyo where the human world and the spirit world have overlapped and it is up to the Karas, humans with the ability to act as agents against the spirits, to keep the humans safe. When a former Karas turned crazed tyrant Eko turns his back on his old position and comrades by destroying Yurine, which causes the Karas to lose the ability to transform into their spirit forms, former yakuza Otoha struggles to prove himself as a Karas despite his former brutal life.
