Justice, released in 2004, highlights the struggles of one lawyer against the inequalities of the American legal system. When Carter (Roger Guenveur Smith), an inner city public defender, refuses to take a plea bargain for his client, he feels the wrath of his superiors. On the home front, he faces increasing pressure from his wife, Sharice (Monica Calhoun), to join a big-name law firm and make a move with their two children from the city to the relative tranquility of the suburbs. Carter follows his conscience and opens his own inner city law office to do battle for real justice in a system fraught with corruption, in the name of those who cannot fight for themselves. The ensuing drama follows the idealistic Carter's tribulations MORE [EDIT]
