Josh and S.A.M. is a 1993 family-friendly and lighthearted adventure film directed by Billy Weber. When Caroline Whitney (Joan Allen) announces to her children that the family will be moving to live with her fianc''e in Florida, her older son Josh (Jacob Tierney) decides that he'd rather run away to Canada. To get his younger brother Sam (Noah Fleiss) to come with him, he creates a convoluted story and convinces Sam that he is really S.A.M. -- a Strategically Altered Mutant created by the government as a war machine for the raging battle in Africa.
