John James Audubon is a documentary that explores the life of John James Audubon (Sebastian Roche). Audubon lived in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth century, and worked as a naturalist, artist, and florist. Born in Europe, Audubon moved to America and spent many years of his life there. As a self-taught artist, he painted majestic wildlife portraits with high detail. His best known work, The Birds of America, is a long book that portrays every bird known in America at the time. This work highlighted his career and displayed his fierce promotion of conservation and protecting nature.
