Jackie Chan’s The Myth is a fantasy-adventure film directed by Stanley Tong that follows general Meng Yi and his future reincarnation, Jack Lee (both played by well-known martial artist Jackie Chan) as they fight to keep an immortality elixir out of the wrong hands. The film follows the story of Meng Yi during the Qin Dynasty before the later slip into the modern day. General Meng Yi acts as an escort to a Korean princess, Ok-Soo (Kim Hee-seon) on her way to marry a Qin emperor in China. The princess falls in love with the general, who keeps his distance, honoring the marriage contract of his emperor.
