It's Kind of a Funny Story is a 2010 comedy starring Keri Gilchrist as Craig Gilner, a teenage boy who checks himself into a psychiatric hospital after contemplating a suicide attempt. Craig is nervous about staying in the hospital because he does not want his school crush and girlfriend of his best friend, Nia (Noe Kravitz) to find out. In the hospital, Craig meets an adult patient named Bobby (Zach Galifianakis) who is nervous about an upcoming interview. Craig offers some of his father's clothing to Bobby to wear for the interview. Another female patient, Noelle (Emma Roberts) sees this act and leaves Craig a note stating she would like to meet him.
