Interview with the Vampire stars Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt as companions and vampires in this big-budget adaptation of Anne Rice's popular supernatural series. Reporter Daniel Molloy (Christian Slater) has landed a story of a lifetime, a 200 year long lifetime. Louis de Pointe du Lac (Brad Pitt) has agreed to tell Molloy about his history, beginning in 1791, when he met Lestat (Tom Cruise), the owner of a neighboring Louisiana plantation who offers to take away Louis' pain and suffering from the loss of his wife and child. Lonely Lestat has lived a lonely existence as a vampire and tutors Louis in the life of bloodsucking. Eventually, a young girl, Claudia (Kirsten Dunst) joins their "family" as a daughter figure, but tensions grow between the two men and eventually a violent confrontation takes place. Louis and Claudia relocate to Paris, where they meet vampires Santiago (Stephen Rea) and Armand (Antonio Banderas) and learn details of the vampire life Lestat never told them. Louis continues his story to the present day and how Lestat returned to his life. Neil Jordan ("The Crying Game") directs the supernatural thriller.MORE[EDIT]
