Inkheart is a 2009 adventure film directed by Iain Softley. It is based on Cornelia Funke's popular children's novel. Mo Folchart (Brendan Fraser) is a Silvertongue with the magical ability to make characters from books come to life when he reads aloud. Unaware of his hidden talent, Mo reads the novel Inkheart to his wife Teresa (Sienna Guillory) and young daughter Meggie (Eliza Bennett) one night, causing characters from the novel to appear and making his wife disappear into the story. Nine years later, Mo rediscovers Inkheart at an old bookstore, and Dustfinger (Paul Bettany), one of the novel's characters, asks Mo to read the book once more so that he can get back into the story. Mo, who is still traumatized by his wife's disappearance, refuses to fufill Dustfinger's request. When Dustfinger recruits help from the story's villain, Capricorn (Andy Serkis), who also want to get back into the book, Mo must come to terms with his gift and struggle to outwit the characters that he summoned long ago.MORE[EDIT]
