In a Day is a 2006 romantic comedy about two strangers impulsively spending a day together in London. Ashley Branstead (Lorraine Pilkington) would rather be playing music than making sandwiches for a living, so when she shows up for work and discovers it closed for day, she happily heads home. At the bus stop, a man makes a lewd suggestion and then throws coffee on her when she moves to get away. When the frazzled Ashley goes to the market for paper towels, she runs into Michael (Finlay Robertson), one of the regular customers from the shop, who kindly soothes her nerves and invites her to tea.
