"I''ll Take You There is a comedy with hints of romance mixed in. Bernice (Alley Sheedy) is extremely strong willed and knows how to get what she wants. Her friend, Bill (Reg Rogers) thinks his life is perfect, untill his wife leaves him for a younger man. This sends him into a deep, dark depression which makes him the most pathetic of all the characters in this film. Bernice decides that this situation will just not fly and takes matters into her own hands. She wants him to move on with his life and find someone who fits into this life and makes him happy. He refuses to comply throughout the whole process and is not able to get past his deep depression because of the hole in his heart left by his ex-wife.
