I'll Be There is a musical comedy directed by Craig Ferguson. A washed-up pop star, Paul Kerr (Craig Ferguson), discovers that a brief encounter years ago resulted in the birth of a daughter. The daughter, Olivia Edmonds (Charlotte Church), is now a young woman. Paul discovers that the daughter he never knew is a wonderful singer. Olivia's mother, Rebecca (Jemma Redgrave), lives a quiet life in a small Welsh town but her quiet life is disrupted when the ex-pop star makes a visit. Rebecca is trying to steer Olivia away from becoming a musician by using her father's career as an example of how hard life on the road can be.
