Identity is a smart psychological thriller centered around the murders of a group of people who have coincidentally convened at an abandoned motel in the middle of nowhere. The film was written by Michael Cooney who drew inspiration from the Agatha Christie novel And Then There Were None. James Mangold (Girl, Interrupted; Walk the Line; 3:10 to Yuma) directs. One by one, strangers arrive at a deserted motel during a ominous thunder storm. It is not long before some of them are murdered, and as their count begins to dwindle, they realize they have more in common with each other than they originally thought.
