Humboldt County is a 2008 comedy about Peter (Jeremy Strong), a medical student who has to face his worst fears when he winds up stranded with his social opposites. Peter has always lived a straight and narrow life, working hard in medical school and trying to please his demanding father, Professor Hadley (Peter Bogdanovich). When Peter fails to land a major residency, he feels as if his life has been pulled out from under him. Depressed and dazed, Peter makes a rash decision and takes a drive with a mysterious and free-spirited stranger, Bogart (Fairuza Balk).
