Howard Hughes: His Women and His Movies is a documentary television program that was released in the year 2000. The film not only acknowledges that Hughes ran Hughes Aircraft, but also that he was responsible for taking the helm of RKO studios at a fairly prominent time in Hollywood. The biography profiles Hughes in Hollywood and through a series of interviews with film critic Leonard Maltin, depicts the great man's affairs with famous actresses like Ava Gardner, Ginger Rogers, and Katherine Hepburn. The program also sheds light on the infamous "Hays Code" that swept through Hollywood and Howard's battling response to such censorship. It goes in depth with how Hughes released the film The Outlaw without the Production Code seal of approval.
