High Plains Drifter is a popular 1973 western starring gunslinger-on-the-range superstar Clint Eastwood (A Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, Hang 'Em High, Grand Torino, Bridges of Madison County). Eastwood plays the mysterious title character, who rides out of the desert into the town of Lago, situated on Mono Lake at the eastern foot of California's Sierra Nevada.
