Hi-Life is an American-made comedy that was released in 1998. In the upscale neighborhood of the Upper West Side in Manhattan, unemployed actor, Jimmy (Eric Stoltz), has placed a bet with a local bartender and bookie named Fatty (Charles Durning). Losing his bet, Jimmy now owes $900 that he does not have and must turn to his girlfriend Susan (Moira Kelly) for help. Unable to tell her the real reason he needs the money, he explains it away by saying it is for his sister. Unfortunately, Susan does not have the money either, so she turns to the only person she knows that might have that much money, her brother Ray (Campbell Scott) who works at Hi-Life Bar and Grill.
