Harry and Walter Go to New York is a 1976 comedy film, directed by Mark Rydell, about two struggling con men who attempt to pull off the biggest New York bank heist of the 19th century. The two men, Harry Dighby (James Caan) and Walter Hill (Elliott Gould), begin the film as vaudevillians who are sent to prison after law enforcement finds that Dighby has stolen from patrons. In prison, the two men are assigned as roommates with a wealthy bank robber named Adam Worth (Michael Caine) and he lets the vaudevillians in on his plan to rob Lowell Bank and Trust after his release.
