Happy Endings is a dark comedy from 2005 that contains three interconnected stories. Step-siblings, Mamie (Lisa Kudrow) and Charley (Steve Coogan), produce a child that is put up for adoption. 20 years later, an aspiring film maker, Nicky (Jesse Bradford) contacts Mamie and tells her that he will reunite her with her long-lost child, but only if he can film it for a student film. Her current lover, Javier (Bobby Cannavale) helps her decide what to do. Meanwhile, Charley who is gay, has a lover named Gil (David Sutcliff), and is in a legal battle about whether or not his lover's sperm was used for a lesbian couple's baby.
