Goya's Ghosts is a 2007 drama directed by Milos Forman. During the Spanish Inquisition, Francisco Goya (Stellan Skarsgard) is a renowned painter who likes to use attractive Ines (Natalie Portman) as his muse. When Ines refuses to eat pork in a tavern, the Inquisitors think that she is trying to spread the teaching of Judaism and torture her until she confesses. Ines's father, Tomas (Jose Luis Gomez), then asks Goya for help getting his daughter out of prison. Since Brother Lorenzo (Javier Bardem), the trainer of Inquisition spies, has defended Goya in the past, Goya asks the monk to come to Ines's aid.
