Gorgeous

Gorgeous is a 1999 romantic comedy directed by Vincet Kok Tak-Chiu. Distributed by TriStar Pictures, it stars Jackie Chan and Shu Qi. Bu (Shu Qi) is offered marriage by a local villager but longs for something more. Bu finds a strange message in a bottle that simply says "Don't you know I'm waiting for you?". She decides to leave her village in Taiwan and races to Hong Kong in search of the writer of the note. Bu later discovers some unfortunate news. She thinks she will never find her true love but decides to stay and live in Hong Kong. She soon meets Tony Chiu-Wai (Jackie Chan) a wealthy business-man. She starts to fall in love with him and attempts to win his heart with an elaborate scheme pretending to be involved with local gangsters.
