Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S.

Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S. is a 2003 Japanese monster film and the 27th installment of the Godzilla series. This film is the sequel to Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla. Kiryu, the Mechagodzilla, successfully defended Tokyo after its last encounter with Godzilla. Kiryu has since been rebuilt and is even stronger than before. The humans feel confident in their powerful man-made weapon that was based on the DNA of the original Godzilla. The government receives a message from Mothra, a mythical monster moth that generally sympathizes with the humans. Mothra alerts the humans that Godzilla won’t stop attacking Tokyo as long as Kiryu is in operation. When the humans refuse to take Mothra’s advice and get rid of the weapon, the stage is set for a grand battle between Godzilla, Mechagodzilla, and Mothra. Yumiko Shaku reprises her role as Lieutenant Akane Yashiro, the pilot in charge of Kiryu’s crew. Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S. is an action-packed film about a three-way monster battle that could result in the complete destruction of Tokyo. MORE [EDIT]
