Godzilla, King of the Monsters is a Japanese monster movie appearing on the Joost network. Originally produced in 1956, the film was distributed by Embassy Pictures and TransWorld and served as an America adaptation to the first of many Godzilla movies. The majority of the movie is actually from Gojira, the original Japanese Godzilla movie, dubbed to English and made into a revised version completed with its own new footage. The story begins when a series of disasters happen of the coast of Toyko. When a survivor from one of these catastrophes is found, tales are told of a giant lizard monster at fault who lives under the sea. Soon an investigation is made by reporter Steve Martin (Raymond Burr) and the story checks out! Apparently Godzilla isn't too thrilled with being awakened by a large blast of an atomic bomb and so he's come to take names, or step on buildings awkwardly and slowly swat off our attempts to stop him... whatever comes first.
