Git Along Little Dogies

Git Along Little Dogies is a comedic 1937 western classic starring none other than the singing cowboy himself - Gene Autry. The film is based on a screenplay written by Dorrell and Stuart E. McGowan. Joseph Kane (Accused of Murder, Bad Man of Deadwood, In Old Caliente), a prolific filmmaker during his time, directs this classic which will undoubtedly leave you clenching your gut in laughter and in awe. Autry becomes ecstatic when he learns a railroad will pass through town should the surrounding land be bountiful in oil. He asks friends and neighbors for financial and moral support of the drilling. Sadly, a shameless banker and his sidekick practically ruin the deal by claiming the land is dry. All those who invested money in Autry's oil drill now pursue him, wanting their money back. Autry desperately attempts to prove their is something worth drilling for by placing dynamite in the excavation. The film includes performances by Smiley Burnette, Champion and The Cabin Kids.
