Gene Autry Collection: The Sagebrush Troubadour (1935) is a classic cowboy murder mystery movie. Gene Autry plays the crooning cowboy lead and, along with his trusty sidekick Frog (Smiley Burnette), sets out to solve the murder of Old Man Martin. Money seems to be the motive as it is uncovered that the murder victim found a gold mine just before his death. Starting with little more for evidence than Martin's old swayback horse and a guitar string used in the murder, Autry and Frog sing their way through this adventure.
